A good cafe for coffee and tea was recommended to us that was formerly a church. We heard of one church that was converted to a bar and night club, and I saw a church that is now a carpet sales warehouse. Many had been converted to Islamic mosques.

And yes Ira, all the rich Americans eat at McDonald's where they serve Caviar McNuggets and Champagne McFlurries. ;) (But seriously, in Kyiv they've got Salmon McNuggets on the menu now for only 16 hryven!)

Can't wait to see you guys again.

-GregGreg and Edna Silvahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13066968046147405213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32344352.post-69186397874902729982009-02-25T22:09:00.000-08:002009-02-25T22:09:00.000-08:00So that's where you have been all this time!!=)I t...So that's where you have been all this time!!
=)
I thought it was very ironic, that the posts in the metro were so concerned about the two ending up at the hospital, yet thousands are killed spiritually from those yelling women on trains and religious intolerance...

Wow. Edna's visa will be expiring soon so we decided to play it safe. That means we won't have to register again until around December. My visa is good until 2012, but Edna's is another story. So you see the dilemma? Anyway, where can we find the latest source for immigration laws?

And the scarf was because I was cold. I left my nice warm Ukrainian jacket at home.

How is Lena doing?

-GregGreg and Edna Silvahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13066968046147405213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32344352.post-14881550019656920812009-02-21T11:54:00.000-08:002009-02-21T11:54:00.000-08:00yo greg - you almost look british with that scarf....yo greg - you almost look british with that scarf... almost. ;) btw, when's the last time you read the kyiv post? must've been a while ago cause ever since ukraine entered the WTO, all citizens from WTO countries (USA included) only have to register every 6 mon. (that's 180 days). kinda nice, makes the travelling less frequent. that's IF you have a visa (which you said you do). without one it's still 90 days in.benjamin morrisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09186633523166261181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32344352.post-969512851842626702009-02-21T01:00:00.000-08:002009-02-21T01:00:00.000-08:00WOW...makes me really thankful for the freedom we ...WOW...makes me really thankful for the freedom we have here to share the Gospel and makes me motivated to take advantage of that freedom more...AND to pray for believers in England more!
